If you haven't guessed it (or felt it) yet...this year is all about connecting within to your soul and manifesting your heart's desires. So, how's it going...? How have you been doing at putting a self-care practice into place that actually nurtures you completely; body, emotions, mind, and spirit? I understand that when you are feeling overwhelmed by your chaotic life that the last thing you want to do is figure out how to add one more thing to your plate but I can assure you, making room for a self-care practice will make all the difference. About 30 years ago when I was dealing with chronic neck pain from a car accident I met a phenomenal Reiki Master who helped me to heal myself. She became my friend, teacher, mentor, and "other mother". I will forever be grateful to Marlene "Molly" Cleckner. Molly helped me begin the process of aligning my body, emotions, and mind with spirit. She guided me along the path of meditation, psychic development, and all things metaphysical. And it was life changing... My life began to transform more and more on the outside as I began to make a practice of nurturing my spirit each day. My neck healed. My stress levels diminished. I changed my work environment. I became happier, healthier, and way more peaceful. And most importantly...it wasn't really that big of a deal! I did NOT spend weeks in silent meditation at an ashram. Nor did I make any other huge life changes to facilitate these results. But what I did was simple enough that anyone can accomplish. Let me show you how... If you would like support with manifesting your inner peace, I would definitely suggest my Centering with Love & Light System which is only $27! It may be exactly what you need to help you with your self-care practice!
Please leave a comment below with any thoughts or comments about the video. I look forward to hearing about your experience... With love & light, Keli It is so important for healers, energy workers, and lightworkers to make their own healing, energy, and light their first priority. However, sadly, it is usually near the bottom of their lists. But this is the deal...we can only lead someone else as far as we have gone. If we haven't healed our childhood wounds, or addressed our sabotaging thoughts, or learned how to give our body what it needs to heal itself, then how do we expect to be able to help other people do those things? In this video I will discuss with you your first step in the healing process... I mentioned our Healing Circles on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month on Zoom at 7pm ET, and if you are interested in joining us, please CLICK HERE to save your spot.
Looking forward to seeing you soon... With love & light, Keli I actually get asked this question more often than you would think. Clients, friends, or family members reach out to me looking for help and guidance on their healing paths. And it always starts like this… “I have been doing everything right. Eating well, sleeping good, taking my herbs/supplements, drinking plenty of water but I still feel like poop!” This is the deal...if you have been doing everything you know how to do physically to help your body heal itself but you are still sick, it is NOT a physical issue! Actually, the very last place that symptoms occur is on the physical level and again, those are only symptoms of a much deeper issue. The truth is that when your body, emotions, and mind are out of alignment with your Spirit then you will have “symptoms”. It could be physical symptoms like pain, illness, disease, discomfort, or distress in any area of your body. Or the symptoms could show up emotionally as anger, resentment, fear, burnout, grief, discouragement, or a number of other emotions that carry a lower vibrational pattern. Or it may even show up as thoughts that are based in fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs. ALL of these symptoms are a sign that you have become out of alignment with your Spirit. So how do you correct that? By making your connection to spirit an integral part of your daily self-care practice. And if you don’t have a self-care practice, start putting one in place right now! It can be whatever it is that soothes your soul and has you feel connected to something bigger than yourself. It could be reading something that inspires you, being out in nature, dancing in your living room, journaling, listening to a guided meditation, lighting candles and incense and sitting quietly listening to music, taking a bubble bath, playing in your garden. Anything that lifts your spirit and consciousness will work. When you take time to nurture your Spirit you connect within to a place of inner peace, stillness, and ease. As your inner bliss grows you will find that your mind starts focusing on what you love and are grateful for, you feel more content and peaceful in the moment, and your body relaxes into its natural state of healing. This is the power of aligning your body, emotions, and mind with Spirit. If you would like some support in this area, I have a fabulous free class 3 Steps to Mastering Meditation that will help you in aligning yourself with Spirit. Enjoy! With love & light, Keli Recently one of my dear friends was in a horrible car accident that caused a spinal cord injury at C-4. The doctors told her that she was going to be a quadriplegic. At that moment she had a decision to make...was she going to trust the information that was outside of her (the doctor's opinion) or the information that was coming from within (her higher guidance)? Because her spirit was telling her that this was her next opportunity on her spiritual path that was going to allow her to become who she came here to be...a healer. Luckily, she chose to listen to the voice within and she has spent the past few months inspiring all of us who know her with her strength and resilience. Last week when we spoke she joyfully shared that her new favorite thing in physical therapy is practicing standing! Yes, that from a woman who was diagnosed with quadriplegia. Impressive, right? It just goes to show you how amazing the mind really is. It has the ability to create whatever it is we are focused on. But that can be a two-edged sword because it makes it very clear that everything we have and are experiencing in our life, we thought into creation. Even the not-so-great stuff! And then when we're experiencing the not-so-great stuff what happens...? All of these unhealthy emotions come up and get wrapped around the situation and we end up feeling completely stressed and overwhelmed. That's why this week I wanted to talk to you a little bit about the 3 simple steps to go from overwhelmed to empowered... So, I'd love to hear from you! Please leave a comment below with any thoughts or comments and let's start a discussion on ways to keep ourselves empowered emotionally. I look forward to connecting with you...
With love and light, Keli PS- I encourage you to check out the free Emotional Empowerment Webinar that I mentioned in the video. I have gotten some really great feedback on how helpful it is. This has been a fun week of exploring our mental health, emotional health, and physical health. Quite a few wonderful questions were posed to me throughout the week:
So I decided to answer these questions in a Facebook Live. You will find the recorded version below... If you should have any questions or comments, please leave them below...thanks.
So what is emotional health? The ability to recognize, release, and redirect ourselves emotionally. As long as we are in human form we have a full array of emotions available to us as tools for expressing ourselves to others. The problem is society has deemed some emotions as good and others as bad creating a ton of judgment around how people go about expressing themselves...and so bit by bit and little by little we begin the attempt to hide away pieces of ourselves that we think others may judge. But why is it that the emotions can feel so out of control sometimes...? I know it may sound strange but some people are unaware of what emotions are present for them in the moment which is why being able to recognize them is our first step. The ability to step into observer mode and notice what is present without any attachment whatsoever is incredibly powerful.
And an interesting side note for my empath's: recognizing the emotions that are present becomes a twofold process. What is present? Is it mine? The next step is being able to release those emotions...all of them. The goal is to be able to sustain a place of peaceful contentment where we can simply accept what is present in the moment with detached compassion. Being able to observe emotions passing through like clouds in the sky or leaves on a stream helps us to be able to release the emotions with grace and ease. And the final step is in redirecting ourselves back to our peaceful center. It is important for us to remember that whenever we clear something we must then set the intention for what we want, like a farmer who clears the field and then plants the seeds for what he intends to grow. Envisioning your heaven on earth and the highest and grandest version of your Self will draw your attention back to what you are here to create and experience. Tomorrow we will explore our physical health and well-being... This week we are going to focus on our Mental, Emotional, and Physical Health... The mind is a receiver. A GPS system of sorts letting you know who you are, where you are, what you are experiencing, and what opportunities lie in front of you. The emotions are signposts along the way, letting you know what path you are on. And the body is simply the vessel with which you can express who you believe your Self to be out into the world. So what is mental health? Having the ability to keep the mind focused on your next best steps and receiving your higher guidance with grace and ease. Why do we have such difficulty in focusing the mind and receiving higher guidance? Because we have all suffered childhood traumas...we have bitten of the fruit from the tree of good and evil, plummeting ourselves into the duality of beliefs, good/bad, right/wrong. How does that happen? When we were small children something happened. Then we made up that we are alone and unloved. The feeling that attached was fear. And all we ever really want is to be loved and protected.> The something that happens could be anything. Being left alone in our crib to cry. Being yelled at by someone who is angry. The something isn't really important...what is important is what we made up about ourselves because of it. And that is how the second channel comes to be in our mind. First all we hear is the Voice for God. But the moment we choose to make fear real we begin to hear a second voice that brings that fear to life for us. Call it the ego, Lucifer, lower consciousness, or whatever you like, it doesn't change the fact that it has been activated and is there spouting out nonsense for your listening pleasure. Some people listen to it non-stop and spend their life wrapped around the axel of fear, unable to move forward towards their heart's desires. Trapped by their own stinking thinking. For some the fear takes such a deep hold and has activated emotion so deep that the frequency of fear begins to change the vibrational frequency of the brain causing problems with neuroplasticity and neurotransmitters, creating the symptoms of some mental illnesses. And some of these fears come in with people from past life memories. They are not born damaged, they are born remembering the fears and traumas from past lives and they need help releasing them and setting themselves free. So mental health is really about getting clear about what you choose to listen to. You can choose to listen to your Spirit, the Voice for God, or you can choose to listen to the ego, the voice of fear. The choice is Yours. Remember...the one thing we brought into this life with us is the freedom to choose. I like to call it the "Free Will Clause". Free Will is your birthright. If you do not consciously choose which channel you are going to listen to then chances are that you are spending a LOT of time listening to the voice of fear. It's telling you things like you're not good enough, that you are broken, unworthy, unlovable, and if people really knew you they would hate you. It says all kinds of mean, horrible things to you. But the really crazy part is...you listen to it! I mean think about it logically, if someone showed up at your door and said all of those horrible things, you would slam the door in their face. Right?!? So why then do you listen to the crap your ego is throwing at you? I'll tell you why...because you didn't know you had a choice to turn it off! Well, you do! Not only do you have a choice but you have a duty to yourself to exert that choice. Your mental health depends on it. So how does one go about shutting down the voice of the ego? Well, that's a bit of a trick question because you created it, and since you created it you believe that it is real, a part of yourself. And your belief that it is real and true is keeping you tethered to it. So the first step is to recognize that you have other options. What channel would you rather be listening to...? Your Higher Self, God, Holy Spirit, Your Guardian Angel, Your Spirit Guides, a loved one in heaven? You get to pick. And once you pick, you get to give yourself the gift of experiencing what is possible to you by listening to this new channel through meditation. I invite you to join our community and use the short or long version (depending on how much time you have) of the Centering in Love & Light Meditation to enjoy this new experience. And tomorrow we will explore our emotional health. You have probably heard me say many times that we are not human beings, but spiritual beings having a human experience. And in this experience we have three tools with which to express our spiritual nature- the body, emotions, and mind. But here in the human experience we have what I like to call the "Free Will Clause" which means that we get to decide everything which we experience. I know that is a really tough one for some people to wrap their heads around, but that doesn't make it any less true. So basically what it boils down to is that you get to choose, either consciously or unconsciously, your experience of your body, emotions, and mind. There is a duality to our human experience. You may see it as good/bad, right/wrong, male/female, light/darkness...you get the idea. For our purposes today we will be looking at the dual nature of our body, emotions, and mind from the viewpoint of positive/negative. How do we experience the body negatively? Stress, tension, pain, illness, disease. But interestingly enough, these symptoms are not actual physical issues...they are unexpressed emotions whose lower vibratory patterns are disrupting the healthy frequencies of the tissues, organs, and cells. How do we experience the emotions negatively? Simply put, by judging them. In our society we have a tendency to judge some emotions as being good (peace, love, joy, enlightenment, oneness) and others as being bad (stress, fear, anger, confusion, hatred) and we do our best to avoid the bad ones. Avoiding our feelings is what leads to addictions, breakdowns in relationships, and isolation and loneliness. But interestingly enough, these symptoms are not actually emotional issues...they are caused by our mind and its focus. How do we experience the mind negatively? By not consciously choosing what we are going to focus upon. Remember earlier when I mentioned the "Free Will Clause"? Well, that totally comes into play here. You see, there are two distinct channels you can tune in and listen to in the mind. One that your personality made-the ego, and One that God made-your Holy Spirit. When we are not conscious, chances are we are listening to the ego and experiencing fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs as the thoughts that are at the forefront of our consciousness. But interestingly enough, these symptoms are not actual mental issues...they are caused by a disconnect from Spirit. So we have come full circle. You are a SPIRITUAL BEING. I am certain you have had experiences of that truth if only for a fleeting moment, so you know it is true. The problem is that when we are out in the world running around doing the "human thing", we typically forget that our being is spiritual by nature. And the Spiritual Realm is Oneness, enlightenment, love, peace, and joy...there is no duality or opposites. It just is. The secret to using the body, emotions, and mind positively is to first connect to Spirit. How can we experience the mind positively? Meditation and visualization are the two tools that will have the greatest impact. Meditation allows you to master how to focus your mind and visualization allows you to consciously choose what it is your mind will focus your mind upon. Imagine having a clear vision of what you want to be experiencing as your heaven on earth and being able to hear Holy Spirit's guidance for your next best steps in creating it. That is what is possible for your mind. How can we experience the emotions positively? By acknowledging and releasing what is present. Taking an inventory of what you are feeling and releasing them physically through journaling or speaking is incredibly helpful. You know when you are complete because you will feel a deep contentment. Imagine feeling peacefully content and accepting of what is in each moment. That is what is possible for you emotionally. How can we experience the body positively? By honoring and nurturing it...giving it what it needs to heal itself. The body needs vital nutrients (food), water, fresh air, sleep, sunlight, and exercise in order to stay in peak operating condition. The body was designed to heal itself and to serve your soul for as long as you choose to use it. Imaging waking each morning with vibrant energy and well-being. That is what is possible for you physically. The choice is yours... You can choose to experience your body, emotions, and mind either positively or negatively. It's a simple matter of deciding what you want. And if you should decide that you are tired of suffering and you would like a trusted guide to support and nurture you on your path to reclaiming your Spiritual power, remember I am here for you. You can always schedule an appointment and I would be honored to help. Please leave a comment below and let me know your biggest takeaway. I look forward to reading your comments and connecting with you... With love & light, Keli PS- Here's a video that continues the conversation...enjoy! One of the hardest questions I ever have to answer is "What do you do?" You would think that at my age I would have my snappy "elevator pitch" all lined up and ready to go which would sound a little something like this... I help people achieve their goals and dreams by nurturing their Spirit. I inspire, educate, and empower them to believe in their Self so that they can live their life to the fullest. And I do all that by combining my experience as a Naturopathic Doctor, Personal Growth & Development Trainer, EnergyWorker and as a Life Coach to help my clients reach the goals they have set for themselves. But even that doesn't come close to what I really do. I've even tried asking my friends and clients for feedback on why they come to me. Their answers make it even more confusing...
See what I mean? My clients experience all sorts of varied results, so how am I supposed to create a cookie-cutter response to the What Do You Do question...? What I have come to realize is that over all of these many years that I have been doing "my" work, that my greatest prayer has been answered. When I was young I would pray every day to be used by God as an instrument of healing...and that is exactly what I witness every day in my sessions with my clients. I get to see them heal physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, financially, in their relationships, through their work, and in the level of joy they are experiencing in their lives. And now for my confession... I must confess that in my sessions I am not "doing" anything. I simply show up with the intention of helping, and my clients show up with the intention of healing, and God does the rest. Which is probably why my clients experience so many "miracles". You know the old saying...Whenever two or more are gathered in my name there am I with them (Matthew 18:20). I simply help people access their innate connection to God so that they can heal their lives. I have always had the ability to see the very best in people, even when they are having difficulty seeing it in themself. I have also always had the ability to "receive higher guidance" in order to help people move forward from where they are to where they want to be with grace and ease. I love people deeply and want nothing more than to see them succeed and be happy. And helping them do that gives me incredible fulfillment. A perfect example is my client "Nancy" who was a 26 year old elementary teacher who came to me because she had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer and her doctors had all told her there was nothing they could do, and that she needed to get her things in order. She was scared and angry but she was not ready to die, so when a friend had mentioned me to her she made an appointment. She had a clear vision of what her life was going to look like on the other side of cancer and in our sessions together she received clear guidance on what she needed to do in order to heal herself so that she could make that vision her reality, and she did! About 8 months after we started working together she went back to visit her doctor (who was shocked to see she was still alive) and the only thing her doctor could say was that they must have misdiagnosed her. The truth is that they simply underestimated the power that she had within herself to heal. To this day there is nothing I enjoy more than receiving updates from Nancy about her happy life she is enjoying with her husband and kids, and knowing the amazing difference she is making in the life of her students. What can a Life Coach do for you? A Life Coach can help you get from where you are to where you want to be in your life. Just keep in mind that the only thing that limits your possibilities with your coach is your coach's own limiting beliefs...so pick someone who absolutely believes in you, and that has helped other people accomplish the same types of goals you have set for yourself. As for me, I am just grateful that I get to continue to be an instrument of healing. I am currently working on an online course that I will be bringing to you for free in the very near future. All you have to do to make sure that you are among the first to have an opportunity to join the Launch Into Spiritual Enlightenment Workshop is to join the waitlist now! Ever wish you could find the perfect exercises that would take away all of your aches and pains, help you create abs & buns of steal, all while lulling you into a peaceful state of tranquility...? Oh, and did I mention no sweating? I recently had the distinct pleasure of participating in a continuing education class for my massage license that introduced me to the existence of these very exercises! And today must be your lucky day, because I am sharing them with you in today's KeliTV episode. So throw on some comfy clothes, and grab a mat or a towel, because you are about to experience some wholebody movement magic! Don't you love it??? I have been spending about fifteen to twenty minutes daily playing with these movements and the results have been phenomenal. I even notice on days when I've been sitting for a long time, my body wants to do a second set of the movements!
Now, your challenge for the week is to integrate these exercises into your daily self care practice, and don't forget to let me know your results below... With love & light, Keli Ackroyd |
