What Would I Say???

Well if you're not sure, you'll want to read this!

That moment when you want to say something in a Facebook status but you are too tired, lazy or unimaginative to create something worthy of your friends hitting the like button. Now, there's an app for that.

"What would I say?", created by a group of Princeton grad students, generates status updates for users by running old statuses through a bot, reports The New Yorker. (Read the full article here.)

There are a few things about this article that I'd like to address. Specifically that so many people are feeling tired, lazy and unimaginative! Ever wonder why that is??? I sure do! Especially since I see so many of my clients and students coming to me with the same symptoms. So let's see if we can get to the underlying cause.

Let's start with "laziness", which is a sure sign that we are uninspired. When people have lost their light, their drive, their passion, then life becomes meaningless. And when life feels meaningless we succumb to a laissez-faire attitude towards our own life which leads to just getting by on the bare minimum. But we are NOT lazy by nature! 

These days many people complain about being "tired" which is a sign we are not taking good care of ourselves. We might not be getting enough sleep, eating enough energy producing foods, or getting enough exercise. Or it may be that we are NOT living our dream and this sham of a life we are living is sucking the life out of us!

People who are "unimaginative" have lost their ability to believe. They have forgotten that they are the child of the supreme Creator, and that creativity is an innate part of their essence. They think that "if I see it, then I'll believe it", but the TRUTH is:
Once you believe it, then you will see it!

So here is today's challenge...
  1. To overcome laziness, declare something you are passionate about (a cause, a person, an event, anything!), and post one thing you are going to do TODAY to support it! Then DO IT. :-)
  2. To overcome being tired, get clear about what it is you need to be doing to take better care of yourself. Share with us below what you will do, then DO IT. :-)
  3. To overcome being unimaginative, take 15 minutes and do something you loved to do when you were a kid...drawing, coloring, singing, dancing, playing an instrument, laying in the grass under the clouds looking for different shapes, anything! Then share with us what you did. Now, DO IT. :-)


I bet you'll have lots to say and share when you complete this challenge! We don't need no app!!!
