An interesting headline grabbed my attention on Facebook this morning... And the article got me thinking. Isn't it interesting how the thing that people complain about the most in others, is the thing they are most oblivious to within themselves? Or as the bard put it, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
Perhaps we could all learn a lesson here. If we are seeing something in others that we don't like, it is our ego projecting our self judgments onto others. Take a moment to notice what you are judging about others. It is our judgments that create separation between people. In this example, I would venture to guess that the attorney general Pam Bondi had an underlying fear that people would judge her as unstable because of her choices. Based on the response I saw this morning, her judgments brought to her the very thing she feared! When we awaken to our spiritual connection, and begin to recognize that we are all One, then we begin to celebrate our differences and to learn from each other and accept each others choices. Every choice you make is either based in love or fear. Love leads to closeness, connection, understanding and acceptance. Fear leads to separation, disconnection, feeling misunderstood, and rejection. Families are a beautiful example of souls coming together in the name of love. It doesn't matter if the family is gay, straight, divorced, or estranged. What does matter is who do you want to be to your family...to your immediate family, and to your human family. Are you the one we can count on to love us, or to judge us? With love & light, Keli Ackroyd www.KeliAckroyd.com |
