Holistic Healing for Respiratory Illnesses

This year seems to be chock full of horrible flu's and viruses. One particularly ugly one reared its ugly little head in my life in February.

I had just suffered the lost of my beloved shih tzu Harry, and was working through the stages of grief. Did you know that grief can disengage your immune system? Well I did, but I still wasn't prepared for what was coming.

It started out with a runny nose. And I mean runny...like hot water running out of a tap. At night the water dripped down through my sinuses and into my throat, leading to the next step of laryngitis.

From there it traveled down into my lungs, and the coughing started. Coughing up huge chunks of what looked like rotting pieces of my lung. At one point I actually thought I might die from it because the cough had become relentless. It seemed angriest at night, disrupting my sleep and leaving me exhausted.

By the grace of God, I only had the most severe of the symptoms for a week, and I attribute that to the fact that I used eastern holistic healing to bring my body back to balance.
  • I used a neti pot with a warm salt water solution to cleanse and soothe my sinuses once a day
  • Followed by naysa oil drops in the nostrils
  • I also journaled a LOT. The lungs hold the energy of grief, so I needed to work through and release mine.
  • I meditated several times throughout the day, connecting to the Source of Love. The throat is where we give and receive love, so I knew I needed to remove any blockages that may have been present.
  • I made chicken noodle soup with lots of fresh vegetables, garlic and onion. Garlic is antiviral and antimicrobial so it helped kill whatever was wreaking havoc on my system.
  • And last but not least, I went through 2 bottles of Bronchial Support. It helped relieve my cough so I could sleep at night, and to expectorate all of the yuckiness from my lungs. I love this stuff so much that I actually reordered two more bottles to have on my shelf in case I need it.
To heal the body needs rest. Take the time that you need to work through your healing process. And hopefully you'll feel well before you know it!

With love & light,
Keli
