The Power in Asking

I am truly blessed to be living an enchanted life. But it wasn't always that way! I had to learn some very simple steps to put me into the flow of creating my little piece of heaven on earth. I'd like to share those steps with you.
  1. Get focused on the outcome you desire. If you don't know what you want, the universe cannot give it to you. Create a vision that is so clear that you can "feel it" as if it is already your reality.
  2. Command the universe to provide you with that outcome. "Ask and you shall receive" is not just a lovely saying, but an inevitable truth. You are either consciously asking for what you do want to receive, or you are unconsciously asking for what you don't want.
  3. Witness the miracle of the unfolding of your outcome. Once you put in your order, it's time to "let go and let God" so to speak. Trust and know that as God's child, miracles are your birthright. Allow yourself to receive, and be on the lookout for all the different ways the universe is bringing to you exactly what your heart desires!
  4. Be grateful! Thank God, the angels, the universe, or whatever it is you call your "source" for fulfilling your outcome.

What is the outcome YOU desire?

To Love or to Judge?

An interesting headline grabbed my attention on Facebook this morning...
Picture
And the article got me thinking. Isn't it interesting how the thing that people complain about the most in others, is the thing they are most oblivious to within themselves? Or as the bard put it, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

Perhaps we could all learn a lesson here. If we are seeing something in others that we don't like, it is our ego projecting our self judgments onto others. Take a moment to notice what you are judging about others. It is our judgments that create separation between people. In this example, I would venture to guess that the attorney general Pam Bondi had an underlying fear that people would judge her as unstable because of her choices. Based on the response I saw this morning, her judgments brought to her the very thing she feared!

When we awaken to our spiritual connection, and begin to recognize that we are all One, then we begin to celebrate our differences and to learn from each other and accept each others choices.

Every choice you make is either based in love or fear. Love leads to closeness, connection, understanding and acceptance. Fear leads to separation, disconnection, feeling misunderstood, and rejection.

Families are a beautiful example of souls coming together in the name of love. It doesn't matter if the family is gay, straight, divorced, or estranged. What does matter is who do you want to be to your family...to your immediate family, and to your human family.

Are you the one we can count on to love us, or to judge us?

Ignite Your Fire

Summer is here, and in Chinese Medicine it indicates the perfect time to connect into your Fire Element. The fire element is reflected through the heart and small intestine meridians, but it has much deeper meaning than simply the physical.

The heart is where our joy lives. It is where the spark of the Creator lies within us, patiently awaiting to be expressed through us. If you are living a life you love, that fulfills your burning desires, and has you waking up passionately excited about the day ahead, then chances are your "fire" is burning brightly. But if you (like so many of my clients) can't answer the simple question, "What is your passion?", then this is the perfect time for you to find your spark.

I recently returned from vacationing with one of my oldest and dearest friends. My wish was to come back from our adventure inspired and ready to take my work to the next level, and may I happily report that my wish has been granted! By connecting into my joy by traveling (one of my favorite things) and sharing my spiritual practice, I opened up the floodgates to the Creator within. In two short weeks I have put together all the pieces to finally write the book that has been slowly falling into place over the past thirty years of my life. And I'm EXCITED!

I am writing a new holistic healing self help book. It is designed for anyone who is trying to eliminate the blocks that are keeping them from experiencing the life of their dreams. I teach my readers how to reach their desired outcomes by breaking through their limiting beliefs and reconnecting them to their divine holiness. I explain the simple steps to living a life filled with peace, joy, love, and enlightenment.

Once we realize what our desired outcome is, then divine inspiration comes in to guide you towards that vision. It's time to figure out what your heart desires, and to start living the extraordinary life you came here to experience. If you know what you desire but you are feeling stuck or too afraid to move forward towards your dream, I can help. Let's make this summer the one we look back on as one of the most exciting times of our lives!

What are you passionate about? How are you going to express your love and light in the world...?

Top 10 Practices on an Empath's Journey

6/24/2014

According to Dr. Judith Orloff, "Empaths are highly sensitive, finely tuned instruments when it comes to emotions. They feel everything, sometimes to an extreme, and are less apt to intellectualize feelings. Intuition is the filter through which they experience the world. Empaths are naturally giving, spiritually attuned, and good listeners. If you want heart, empaths have got it. Through thick and thin, they’re there for you, world-class nurturers." (full article)

Many people are in the process of awakening to their "inner empath" and are longing for support and guidance. As someone who was born highly sensitive, I know all too well how overwhelming it can be to not be able to discern if what I am feeling is really me...or am I just picking up someone else's stuff? If that sounds like you, then keep reading.

To help you on your path, I give to you my top ten practices that will make the journey easier:

  1. Meditate. Being able to enter the stillness and connect to peace is incredibly important. If you have a meditation practice already, focus on expanding it so that your life becomes your meditation practice. If you don't have a meditation practice...start one.
  2. Journal. By putting your thoughts and emotions down on paper, you become aware of what is lurking below your level of consciousness. I suggest writing at least one full page (8x10) daily.
  3. Nurture your body. Love it. Treat it like a sacred temple. Feed it healthy food, give it water, rest, exercise, and tender loving care.
  4. Acknowledge and release emotion. Recognize what is present without judgement or attachment. Let all of your emotions flow by as if you are taking a simple inventory until you reach the place of contentment.
  5. Learn lessons. Your life is happening for you to learn, grow, and become the highest and grandest version of yourself. If you look back over your life and have any regrets or resentments...then you haven't learned the lesson.
  6. Choose joy. In other words, work towards creating the outcome you desire. Your fears are only there to tempt you into staying small. Ignore them! Listen to your dreams and let them call you forward to your destiny.
  7. Express love. You are absolutely essential to God's plan, and the whole of humanity is counting on you to shine your light. Sparkle in your own beautiful, unique way that only you can shine!
  8. A servant's heart. As Ghandi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Want a peaceful world? Be peaceful. Want a loving world? Be loving. Want a forgiven world? Be forgiving.
  9. Embrace abundance. Know that the universe is here to provide you everything you could possibly ever need. Allow yourself to receive, and to share your abundance.
  10. Center yourself. You are the yin and the yang, the light and the dark, the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, the alpha and the omega...you are all of it. Learn to completely love and accept yourself. Not in spite of all you are, but because of all you are!

Starting in August I will be co-instructing an 18 Week course, The Empaths Journey with my dear friend from the personal growth and development industry and best selling author, Tina Crumpacker. If you are interested in joining us, please pre-register.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
