Upon hearing of our beloved Robin Williams crossing, I was immediately filled with joy for him, as he finally gets to be in the peace, joy, love, light, and oneness with all that is, also known as "heaven". I was also deeply saddened for all of us who will not have any more opportunities to enjoy any new projects from him. We are blessed that he left us with his huge legacy of love, enlightenment, and laughter on film. Robin was a genius. He felt things more deeply than most of us can imagine, and had this beautiful way of enveloping us in the moment with him. This is one of my favorite movie moments...you can "feel" his every word... There has been much talk about depression and suicide since Robin's crossing, which may indeed be the last gift he left us...an opportunity to wake up. As humans we have all had the experience of depression, and many of us (based on the statistics) have contemplated suicide.
The origin of depression is the belief that we are alone, separate, dark or damaged in some way, unlovable, joyless, chaotic, reactive, emotionally overwhelmed, and/or in physical pain. It is the ego's greatest deception. The ego is that voice in your head (which I like to call the Itty Bitty Shitty Committee) that tempts you to believe all the most horrible things about yourself. It is the voice of fear. But there is another voice. One that is loving and kind, encouraging you to believe in yourself and live life to the fullest. It is the voice of Spirit/Love. Depression is a sign that you have been spending too much time listening to the voice of fear, and have become lost in its illusions. The best way to pull yourself out is to ask for help. Find someone whom you trust and feel safe with, that will help you remember your passion for life. I spend every day supporting my students and clients in creating their heaven on earth. Please, if you need support, don't hesitate to ask. Suicide is a very interesting idea to me, because spiritually ALL death is a choice. It is not until the soul decides that its work is complete that it departs the physical body...so in essence we will each have the opportunity to choose our final moment. Many of us have had "near death experiences" and have come back from the light because we were not complete. I hold no judgments about suicide. It is all happening under God's watch, so I choose to look for the gifts and lessons. My personal mission however is to create heaven on earth, so my intention is for all of us to know the peace, joy, love, enlightenment and oneness with All That Is right here. We are One. We are the child of God. It may appear that we are different or separate through our physical eyes, but through our spiritual eyes we see our similarities and oneness. Without any one of us, this world seems to shine less brightly. You are absolutely essential to God's plan, and the plan is for us to create heaven on earth. We do that by following our heart's desires towards our joy, expressing our love & light in our own unique and beautiful way, helping each other remember that we are one, and keeping each other lifted in love & light. I love Robin Williams, and I am so grateful that he taught me to express myself with reckless abandon, to feel deeply and share with others, to see the love, beauty, and tenderness in the smallest moments, and to recognize the madness of this world and enjoy it with laughter. He created his heaven on earth and shared it with all of us, and now that he is complete, our beloved Genie is finally free. Please join my tribute and leave a comment below.
