This year seems to be chock full of horrible flu's and viruses. One particularly ugly one reared its ugly little head in my life in February.
I had just suffered the lost of my beloved shih tzu Harry, and was working through the stages of grief. Did you know that grief can disengage your immune system? Well I did, but I still wasn't prepared for what was coming. It started out with a runny nose. And I mean runny...like hot water running out of a tap. At night the water dripped down through my sinuses and into my throat, leading to the next step of laryngitis. From there it traveled down into my lungs, and the coughing started. Coughing up huge chunks of what looked like rotting pieces of my lung. At one point I actually thought I might die from it because the cough had become relentless. It seemed angriest at night, disrupting my sleep and leaving me exhausted. By the grace of God, I only had the most severe of the symptoms for a week, and I attribute that to the fact that I used eastern holistic healing to bring my body back to balance.
To heal the body needs rest. Take the time that you need to work through your healing process. And hopefully you'll feel well before you know it!
