Someone just cut ahead of you in traffic, you ask a friend for a simple answer and they take you on a wild pony ride and never answer the question, you send a text and never get a response...you feel the blood begin to boil, the mind begin to race, and notice you are now present to the emotion of FRUSTRATION! But how did this happen...? Well, let's take a closer look. It all starts with our perspective. We either know ourselves to be human beings, spiritual beings, or spiritual beings having a human experience. Humans experience the traffic situation as a personal afront...a competition in which they are unwilling to lose. Spiritual beings know not what traffic is, as in the heaven realm there are no vehicles, although they adore the flow of moving with grace and ease. Spiritual beings having a human experience allow what is, knowing that if it is happening (what is) then it is a gift for them, and an opportunity to share their love & light. We become frustrated when we choose to look at a situation from the human perspective of our ego/judgments because our ego likes to think it knows better than God. As Spirit we know that God is All That Is, and Love is all that is real, and that everything is happening is an opportunity for us to extend love to others. As spiritual beings having a human experience we know that every moment simply gives us an opportunity to choose love or fear...it is happening for us, not to us. Perhaps that car cut us off to save us from being in an accident further up the road, or maybe to just give us the opportunity to slow down and enjoy the beautiful day. Remember, if it's happening for you then that means there is a gift in it for you. The question is...can you see it? Life is filled with blessings and miracles. Those of us that are in the habit of looking for them, being thankful for them, and acknowledging the Source of them with love, get to witness them on an ongoing basis. Those who are in the habit of seeing all the pain and suffering in the world spend most of their time feeling hurt or angry about it, while trying to figure out who's to blame for the whole mess. In the process they are creating their own suffering! I'm not suggesting that we stick our heads in the sand, but I am saying that it is up to us to BE the change we want to see in the world... The world I want to see is heaven on earth, filled with blessings and miracles, and everyone enjoying peace, love, enlightenment, and Oneness. So that is what I practice BEING every day. Some days it is easier than others, but every day I am becoming more peaceful, loving, enlightened, and at one with all that is...which feels quite heavenly to me. What is the change you want to see in the world? And what ways of being can you practice that will lead you out of frustration, and towards your heaven on earth? Please share below...I'd love to hear your thoughts. With love & light, Keli Ackroyd www.KeliAckroyd.com |
