"It's that time of year when the world falls in love", at least that's what Frank Sinatra would've had us believe in one of my favorite holiday songs...his famous "Christmas Waltz". Sure that song was written in a simpler time. A time when people couldn't imagine leaving their homes and loved ones on Thanksgiving to go shopping. A time when "a woman's place was in the home" so she had plenty of time for decorating, baking, wrapping gifts and getting it all done with a smile, high heels, and a skirt. I happen to know this is true as I have seen numerous reruns starring Donna Reed to prove it! :-) Flash forward 60 years to the present: Women work, take care of their family, decorate, and bake (or know of a great bakery). Women have to shop online, in stores, at midnight sales, or any time it can be fit in...and by the time it's all said and done no one is smiling, the shoes have been kicked off, and "dressed up" looks like wearing the pair of yoga pants that don't have a stain! Overworked? You betcha! Necessary? Not so much... You see it's all a balancing act. The problem is most people are so off balanced in their "regular life" that when the holidays come around and add one more thing to their list, they easily become overwhelmed. But it doesn't have to be that way. On Saturday, December 7th I am offering a 2 hour class called "Stress FREE Holidays!" in which you can master some gems and rituals that will promise this years holidays will be the best (and most peaceful) ever. I invite you to reserve your seat now. And if you prefer to attend via online streaming, that option is also available.
