Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations, and outcomes. It is when we are in complete alignment with our actions, emotions, thoughts, and spirit. When we are out of integrity, we are out of alignment, and it wreaks havoc on our inner peace. Have you ever commit to something, started out completely excited and inspired, only to find yourself in a short while becoming bored and distracted? In that moment that you decide to become distracted, you have in a very real sense become divided because your actions, emotions, and/or thoughts are no longer in alignment with your spirit. If we become so distracted that we end up "quitting" on our goal, surrendering our will to our fears, we put in place a limiting belief that we can't believe in ourselves. And if we do it over and over again...before you know it our word doesn't mean anything to our self, or anyone else in our life. When I was younger I was late for everything. For me being on time meant showing up within 5-10 minutes of the time I was supposed to be there. And then I met George. We started dating and I really enjoyed my time with him. Then one day he sat me down and said he didn't think he could continue seeing me. When I asked why, he explained that every time I was late meeting him it triggered all of his fears of abandonment, unworthiness, and issues about being unlovable. In that moment I realized that my actions were out of integrity with who I came here to be. I had made a mistake, and it needed correction...which I immediately implemented. I learned and grew from the experience, and will forever be grateful to George for having been my teacher. Now some people will make a mistake and beat themselves up about it...punishing themselves for this "sin" that they commit. To them I say: Get off the cross, we need the wood! There is no space for learning in condemnation. The only way to fail is to quit before you learn the lesson. So if you now find yourself with regrets over things you have left incomplete in your life, it's time to get complete! If you have given your word (to yourself OR others) and not kept it, now is the time to go back and clean it up. Your self worth depends on it. What have you left incomplete that you are committed to cleaning up this week? Please share below.
